The Time Estimator for the IRAM 30m telescope

Summer Semester 2009

We are currently preparing a new refurbished and enhanced 30m time estimator, for the next generation eight mixer receiver EMIR. The new estimator will be included in the ASTRO/GILDAS package. A first version, without web interface, will be ready for download early February 2009, in time for the next proposal deadline. (CK, JeP, 1/09)

Type of observation:

1. EMIR observations of one source with a fixed frequency: please use ASTRO/GILDAS (not yet available)

2. HERA observations ( Version 2.7)

3. MAMBO-Bolometer observations ( Version 2.7)

For all of the 3 cases, you can provide general parameters of your observations, in order to estimate the total observing time for observations with the IRAM 30m telescope. For a complete description (for HERA and MAMBO observations), see our HELP page. We recommend to use Firefox rather than Microsoft IE.

Old time estimator for ABCD receivers.

Note that a web based version linked to ASTRO, and including also HERA and MAMBO, will be available for the September 2009 deadline.
