Based on the existing support activities for the Plateau de Bure millimeter interferometer and on the involvement of the institute in the ALMA construction, IRAM has established an ALMA user support center, which forms a node of the European ALMA Regional Center (ARC). The tasks of the IRAM ARC node include:

- user support to prepare for ALMA

- face-to-face support for data reduction

- ALMA-related scientific software developments

The ARC node is a new service provided by IRAM which is open to all interested scientists, with special emphasis on the German, French, and Spanish communities. More about the IRAM ARC node.

• 7th IRAM mm-interferometry school, Grenoble, October 4-8 2010. The program includes: fundamentals of mm interferometry; atmospheric phase correction; data calibration and imaging techniques; the Plateau de Bure interferometer; ALMA.
• Observing with ALMA: Early Science, Grenoble, Nov. 29-Dec. 1 2010. A practical workshop on how to plan and analyze ALMA Early Science observations.
