IRAM has established an ALMA user support center, which forms a node of the European ALMA Regional Center (ARC). The ARC nodes are providing support to the community in the preparation of ALMA observations and in the data processing and analysis.

The ARC node is a new service provided by IRAM, open to all interested scientists with special emphasis on the German, French, and Spanish communities. More about the IRAM ARC node.

The ALMA Cycle 0 observations have started since Sept. 30th 2011. See the ESO announcement and the list of the 122 high-priority projects.

The projects have been grouped in three groups: batch 1 and 2 for the compact configuration (Oct.-Dec. 2011), batch 3 for the extended configuration (from Jan. 2012 on).
