Introduction

This document gives a description of the ASTRO software, developed to aid astronomers in preparing their observations with the IRAM telescopes. While some commands are very specific to the IRAM instruments (particularly the Plateau de Bure Interferometer), most commands are quite general and may be used with any radiotelescope to plan observations for maximum efficiency. This program is interactive and uses GreG for graphic output.

ASTRO also includes a language named FLUX which allows the user to bootstrap flux densities from quasars and planet measurements made by CLASS or CLIC. Please refer to the FLUX documentation for details.
